Pastor James Roberts, a servant of the Lord and the people, received Christ in his life at an early age. In his younger years, he attended Sanctuary Church of the Abiding Presence in Camden, New Jersey, where Bishop Evelyn Schonyers is pastor. Under her leadership, he was baptized at the age of seventeen. He now serves under the leadership of Bishop Joseph N. Roberts, Jr. at EL-Beth El Community Cathedral. Pastor James is married to Pastor Carleen Roberts. Their children – Diamond, James Jr., Precious and Derrick – are all active in the body of Christ. Pastor James currently serves on the Minister’s Board as deacon and overseer. Pastor James is a faithful servant who is always willing to assist. He works in most of the church’s auxiliaries. He takes pleasure is living the scripture, “as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”
